WOW

have I been baaaadddddd with my blog!!!

I am back in the saddle with my Tri coming up in a few months - WOOOO HOOOOOO

Today I started doing bricks - YAY (not) so right after a 10.5 mile bike ride I tried my best to walk....never mind run...sooo lesson learned today is I need to do the transition portion a lot more to get my body to switch gears better than what I did today.

I did not forget about you...really...just been a really bad girl...back on track!

Rode the bike for 7.5 miles and got out for some fresh air with my hubby today...off to Celtics/Spurs game with my BFF Diana so gotta run...

YAY...NOT

YAY - I appear to have hit my true weight and am having difficulties...gonna really stick to writing "everything" I place in my mouth!

I did imbibe over the weekend, not too much though. Skied for some exercise...found muscles that I forgot I had...they let me know loud and clear, felt great tho. I am finding I need to make time just for me and get to the gym, it is so easy to just not do anything and go about being a mother of 3 and wife...NEED TO BREAK MY HABITS!

Can anyone tell me how they are doing on their New Years resolutions?

Food for thought...

Hello Everyone!

Today is the 4th day of my "transformation" and I am finding that the eating healthy part is starting to take hold.

Today I started to journal what I am eating, everything I put in my mouth...MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE, helped me to be aware of how much I pick all day long. My handsome husband took me out for dinner and I chose a garden salad, grilled chicken and some vinegar - DELICIOUS!!

My tri that I signed up for is in August, the Timberman tri. I am feeling really excited about doing my first tri - I will be 46 years old when I cross that finish line and I am really pumped about it. My husband, Todd, may do the tri with me...he is where I got the inspiration to do this - I remember the first time I watched him doing a race and I was so proud of him. He is one fantastic man, and I am a very lucky lady.

So by now you may be asking "what did she do for exercise?" Well, (no excuse here) I had a bad migraine on Saturday and my back is/was out of whack - unaligned...trying not to aggrevate it AND first week in trying to get eating healthy (which is working) I will pool it again tomorrow and if it's nice maybe attempt a tiny jog :)

2nd day down

Today all I can say is MIGRAINE! It is now 6:20pm, just got up, it hurt me just to talk today (twas a bad one)...good thing tho, didn't eat much! lol Tomorrow pool!

Day 1

Whew...survived the day, the junk food was totally calling my name today but I did not succumb to the temptation. lol - that said - did very well choking down some vegetables - and had a yummy chicken and rice dinner, I have a feeling there will be lots of meals consisting of chicken.

For exercise, I did make it to the Y and though I may have appeared to be wallowing in the water, I actually did manage quite a few laps with a rest here and there. When I came home I did the Wii workout program, I'm thinking the Wii is not a great tool for getting in triathelon shape but it was fun...and a start! Has anyone else done the Wii for fitness?

Well, off to drink some more water - I am trying to see just how many times I can visit the bathroom in one day NOT!

Thanks for those who hit my blog...HUGE smile! I hit the pool at the YMCA today and came to the quick realization I have a loooong way to go - 1 day at a time!

Happy 2010 everyone!
Official weigh-in today is 216.6...still 5"8"!
Please post any words of inspiration to help me get thru eating well and exercizing. My thought is the first couple weeks are going to be tough breaking old habits but hopefully my mind will click into a new healthy lifestyle with some encouraging words :)
I will post later on to update my workout and how I did (yikes) good luck in your day!
